NBA announces that playoff seeding will now be determined by record not by division. If this rule was in place last year, Spurs would have opened playoffs at Memphis (possibly met Golden State in round 2).

The union representing National Basketball Association players has signed a contract to sell its Harlem headquarters for $21 million, about six times what the organization paid for the building at Lenox Avenue and 125th Street. Once the sale is completed next year, the organization will relocate to a 47,000-square-foot facility in midtown Manhattan that includes a practice court, locker room, lounge and training facility, the union said. The facility will also be used to host player programs and agent seminars

Tony Parker became the all-time leading scorer in European championship history by leading defending champion France to a 69-66 win over Poland on Monday. Parker made France's first basket to break the record and finished with a team-high 16 points, scoring his team's final four points. That gave the San Antonio Spurs guard a total of 1,046 points, 16 more than former Greece star Nikos Galis. Parker tied Galis' total of 1,030 in France's 81-54 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday.
